In general, I do randomly choose books to read, but every year, I also try to select books based on a theme. Last year I read regional authors here in North Carolina as much as I could - there were some gems and some duds. But overall, it was a positive experience.
This year, I've decided to read books mentioned on ABC's Lost tv show published at http://abctvstore.seenon.com/index.php?v=lost-bookclub-tc. My sister has decided to read along with me and we've both recently finished reading The Stand by Stephen King.
Anyway, I will speak more later on this book (and others) to come.
